Since we are well on our way to what looks to be a great summer season, we decided to kick off with some of the health and fitness benefits of some of our water sport activities, specially whilst coming out of a cold winter season.
Wakeboarding and water-skiing is a fantastic form of exercise for those who want to maintain a fitness schedule whilst on holiday.
We have put a together a “Wake & Break Workout Special”, that offers you a 2- or 3-day program. Ask for it by name.
Some of the benefits of wakeboarding and water-skiing:
These activities burn up to 500 calories per hour. The effort that you will put into pulling with your upper body and pushing with your lower body makes for a whole-body workout. Your legs and core will be engaged throughout the ride. A 60kg person will burn 324 calories in an hour.
Much like surfing, wakeboarding is a great way to tone your entire body. As you balance on the water, you make use of the resistance of your own body weight, working your core, biceps and triceps, as well as your legs, glutes, and the lumbar muscles in your back.
